Wyld Life Club

We had our first wyld life club of the semester! Middle School kids are the best. They are so fun, they think you are the absolute coolest (which is a nice confidence booster sometimes haha), and just want to be seen and heard. Here's my favorite part about Wyld Life club: Middle school kids have so much energy. And most of the day they get yelled at, or are asked to be quiet, stop moving, stop talking, etc. My favorite part of club is letting them be crazy. As long as they aren't harming themselves or others or being extremely rude, I love to let them be. To celebrate and embrace their energy rather than try to contain them. Especially during the talk, they often just say exactly what they're thinking, no matter what else is going on in the room. I love encouraging them and praising them for their addition to the talk, rather than scolding them for interrupting. And then they listen! They listen to us talk about Jesus. And it's the best. Here's a few pictures from club (I think in the case of WL…a picture speaks a thousand words! Enjoy!)

Rock-Paper-Scissors to win candy
Here's the catch: when we yell JACKPOT, throwing the candy in the air…
Controlled Chaos at it's finest

Josh getting his socks stolen by 2 leaders!

Cheese puff spitting!
[Natalie's a pro!]

[Garret, Matt, Mark]
If that's not the joy of the Lord, I don't know what else is

Josh, my friend in the blue chair, about to challenge me to
do a 360 on crutches
[which by the way I was successful at, just not graceful]

Mark 2…Meghan was the paralytic for the night!

The boys sneaking back in on our girls small group!
